In our interviews with LGBTQ women in rural SD and MN, we asked them to think about LGBTQ people in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York. We posed the question: "How do you think they imagine lesbian life in South Dakota?"

​Later, we attended New York City Pride and asked participants what they thought life was like for LGBTQ people in the rural Midwest.

​This clip captures the reflections of some urban Pride goers as they imagine rural LGBTQ life, and considers these reflections in relation both to how rural LGBTQ women imagine being imagined, as well as how they view themselves and their lives.
